And at last… *drumroll* I’m finished!! *_____*
This pic surely took a lot of time to be completed… sorry for the delay!
As promised, here’s the link to the original image from which I copied my drawing [link] ; it’s a scan of a Japanese magazine.
It’s the first time, I think, that I reproduce something and I’m not afraid of the comparison with the original… Because, of that image, I really liked the poses and the kimonos, but not the proportions, Himawari’s face and hair, and many other details… so I re-did everything in a style closer to my own one. I think -and hope- that the result is quite different from the original picture.
Colouring all of this has been such an hard work… -____- I’d rather paint ten kimonos for real instead of drawing just one again!! >___< I’ve had many hitches with the flower patterns, I don’t think they came out so well, and Yuuko’s dress is made with at least twenty layers of color…
I’d be very, very interested in having your opinions on this piece!! What do you think about the colours? I’m thinking about doing another version of this, with watersoluble pencils… do you feel that the kimonos’ colours should be changed? And what would you like them to be? Do you think that this should be my featured deviation? Ok, ok… I put an end to all these questions!
